Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Epsilon Nu's Philanthropy

Phi Mu’s national philanthropy is the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, otherwise known as CMN Hospitals. CMN Hospitals is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for the funding of treatment and research for children's hospitals nationwide. The Epsilon Nu Chapter specifically supports the children's hospital in Oklahoma City. Every year we raise money for CMN hospitals through various efforts such as benefit nights, philanthropy events and raising awareness. We engage with the Miracle Kids directly through events such as creating valentines cards and coloring books to send to each child in the hospital. Our local philanthropies are the Humane Society, an animal shelter for homeless dogs and cats, and the Payne County Youth Shelter, a crisis center for children, youth and families in the area. Through our dedication to these causes, the Epsilon Nu Chapter of Phi Mu strives to make a lasting impact on both our local community and the lives of children across the country.
